Audi Nines 2020
GoPro Course Preview Live Now!
The 2020 edition of the Audi Nines presented by Falken is currently underway! In collaboration with Bikepark Idarkopf, a crack team of top international riders has gathered in a repurposed stone quarry in Germany’s Hunsrück-Nahe bike region for a session of the superlative kind. In the GoPro Course Preview, fans can get an exclusive first look at this year’s out-of-this-world mountain bike venue.
New and Improved Venue
In the Course Preview, course builders Sam Reynolds (GBR) and Clemens Kaudela (AUT) are joined by Erik Fedko (GER) to show the ins and outs of the 2020 Audi Nines venue. On the west side of the quarry, a brand-new Slopestyle Line winds its way down the slope, culminating in two exciting Signature Features designed by Fedko and Lukas Knopf (GER). On the other side of the quarry, the existing Freeride Line and Big Air have been expanded and improved with steeper landings, more flow and bigger jumps. Now the fun begins in earnest, with five straight days of non-stop film sessions and nothing but blue skies in the forecast.
“Riding this course with everyone else and seeing how stoked they are makes all the hard work worth it,” says Sam Reynolds. “I’m looking forward to an amazing week of riding with all my friends!”
“I’m super excited to ride my signature feature,” says Erik Fedko. “We planned and designed everything, and now it’s so amazing to actually ride it. It works perfectly!”
Audi Nines Live Sessions: Tune In This Week!
The Audi Nines are going live! This year we’ve developed an experimental platform that will allow fans to enjoy some of the week’s action from the comfort of their own homes. While it’s not the same as being here in person, we hope that this will be the next best thing! Visit audinines.com/live to check the full schedule and explore a detailed 360° Course Walkthrough while you wait for the video feed to begin. The Live Sessions will feature multiple camera angles running simultaneously, POVs from the likes Sam Pilgrim (GBR), Bienvenido Aguado (ESP), Max Fredriksson (SWE) and others, and a comment feature that lets you request tricks and interact with riders. The Live Sessions represents our best effort to get fans as close to the action as possible at a time when hosting a crowd is sadly impossible.
